What’s Important To Us

What’s important to us?

Here at Juvi, we create our collections with forever in mind. We want you to treasure each piece, create memories with each gift and look on your special ring, pendant or earrings with love, fondness and a smile.

We are inspired by travel, the feeling of adventure and the beauty in nature.  With this in mind, our pieces are designed slowly, created with care and with as little impact on the Earth as possible.  Our natural wanderlust allows us to seek out the most ethically sourced gemstones, work hand in hand with people on the ground and forge relationships around the world with craftspeople who have decades of experience with local gemstones.

One of the most inspiring parts of our creative process is gemstone selection.  We travel to India, taste the food, drink tea with the locals and delve into the world of natural beauty as we watch our chosen stones go through the steps of cutting, faceting and polishing.  So much care is put into this process, as these stones will take centre stage in the jewellery we design when we arrive home to our studio in Dublin.

We use recycled materials like gold and silver, as well as elements of our packaging, allowing us to cast a gentle footprint on the environment.

The gemstones we use have taken ions to develop and likewise we want you to enjoy your beautiful piece of Juvi for just as long.

Our main Juvi collections are made in 925 sterling silver, which, where required are then plated with 18ct yellow gold.  Our fine jewellery is made in 9ct, 14 and 18ct solid gold.

Our People

At Juvi, we consider our team as close as family.   We are a small, but tight team, who are passionate about individuality, inclusion, sustainability and friendship.

Every single person on our team is a contributor to our success.  From when you visit us in store, chat to us on social media, or discuss personalisation with us, we hope your experience with our lovely crew reflects our ethos of positivity.

So much care and thought has gone into our packaging. We want you or your loved one to feel that “wow moment” when opening a new Juvi jewellery bag or box.

We are conscious of your environmental concerns – they are our concerns too, so we are working hard to make as many elements of our packaging recyclable as possible.

Right now our tissue and postal boxes are 100% recyclable. Our gift boxes sadly are not recyclable; however, we are currently researching our options with an aim to develop an earth-kind packaging solution by 2021.  In the meantime, we hope that you keep your gift-boxes to keep your pieces of Juvi looking brand new when you aren’t wearing them – they are also perfect for keep-sakes, love notes and other special memories.

If you are a real Juvi fan and don’t require additional jewellery boxes, bags or booklets with your order, we are happy to send you a low-impact environmentally friendly envelope when delivering your online order.  Simply tick this box at the checkout and we’ll do the rest.

Our Goal

We are constantly working on progressing our collections, our impact and our contribution towards helping improve our environment.

With this in mind, we aim to introduce completely recyclable packaging for all orders by 2021.

We aim to eradicate the use of single use plastics in our studio and stores.  Our staff are environmentally conscious and no longer use plastic straws or other single use utensils like water bottles or cutlery.

We value your feedback, so if you feel there are ways that we can improve, we would love to hear from you at hello@juvidesigns.com

Behind The Scenes on our Manhattan A/W Photoshoot

Wow! We are still reeling from the launch of our new A/W Manhattan Collection photo shoot.

Shot on location in the heart of the Big Apple, right in the epicenter of where the inspiration for the collection was born.

This collection pays homage to the city that never sleeps, with a special hat tip to the chic and sophisticated art deco scene.

Featuring beautiful handcut gemstones like Iolite, Amethyst, Labradorite, Garnet & Moonstone, the Manhattan Collection captures the iconic architecture of high rise, glittering windows in a city where anything can happen.

Check out the full collection here.

Huge thanks to our incredible team, who created magic on the streets of Manhattan as the sun came up.

We’re Hiring!

Visual Design & Creative Content Internship

Are you creative? Do you love social media?

Juvi is a design led jewellery brand making precious jewellery in the affordable luxury market founded by Vincent Tynan and Julie Danz. Launched in 2006, Juvi is currently stocked in key boutiques nationwide and has concessions in several high end department stores. We ship around the world, with wonderful fans in over 30 countries. Everything we produce is designed in Ireland..

We are looking for a creative summer intern (3-4 months) to join our growing team.

The successful intern will work on our web and social media content, brainstorm marketing ideas, website product management, website innovation/ideas, help with planning photo shoots, liaise with our PR company and research for trade shows. You will be designing and creating beautiful content for online and print use, working with product shots to standardise them, making clever digital content for social media, creating commercial catalogues. We want you to look at what we do online, in print and video and make it even more beautiful!

You should be a visually creative person, with a love for design, who is interested in learning how to work with a brand voice. A good eye, strong photography skills and a working knowledge of Photoshop are a must. Experience with design programmes such as InDesign would be a plus. You need to be flexible – small company roles can be fluid. The ability to lend your skills at key points to other projects is vital. A degree is not essential, we want you to be brilliant, not necessarily schooled.

Through this summer internship, the intern will gain experience in a busy studio with a successful Irish business, work with a clear brand vision, have the opportunity to create and implement your own projects and campaigns, with a potential budget.

You will be required to come to our office/studio in Dublin 18 at least 2-3 times a week. Some work can be done remotely. Travel expenses will be covered. There is an opportunity, for the right person, for a full time position in September. If you are interested, please email a cover letter and CV to deirdre@juvidesigns.com (please include any relevant links to website/previous work)

Behind the Scenes on our Look Book shoot

Last week we shot our amazing new look book – exciting times! We had a bit of a disaster with the weather, and had to change location the day before, but I think we pulled it off – thanks to our great team, and the kind people at South Studios, who took us on last minute!

We wanted the shoot to be fresh, clean and GREEN – so lots of beautiful greenery (from the lovely Sam at Urban Plant Life, such a gent) The new collection is called the Cocoa Pod collection, and you can read all about it here. You can also take a look at the new collection on our website  www.juvidesigns.com or see it in store at Arnotts.

Xpose also popped along to film a bit of the shoot, and do some interviews with us, so keep an eye out for that.

Our amazing team…

Launch Night for the Empowerment Necklace

We took a little break from the workshop last week to officially launch the Empowerment Necklace in Arnotts. We had a great night, with glasses of prosecco, and all of the mini things – cupcakes, quiches and burgers! On a serious note though, the ISPCC do such amazing work for children in Ireland. As myself and Vinny have two little ones ourselves, we know how important is it for children to grow up safe, loved and supported. This is such a fantastic cause and we really appreciate any support.

You can purchase the necklace here or in store at Arnotts, for €79 with 100% of the proceeds going to the ISPCC.

Take a peep behind our Xpose shoot

We had the pleasure of doing a shoot with TV3’s Xpose last week, to promote our charity necklace, the Empowerment Necklace. All proceeds from the sale of this necklace go to the ISPCC, which is such a great cause. Here’s a few images we managed to sneak during filming!

Inspiration behind our new collection ‘The Cocoa Pod’

Our new collection, The Cocoa Pod, is launching at Showcase Ireland 2016 in the RDS this week! We have been so busy over the last few months designing our beautiful new pieces, inspired by the shape of the cocoa pod.

While we were visiting Mexico a few years ago, myself and Vincent were lucky enough to visit a cocoa plantation, where we learned all about how chocolate is made, from when they pick the colourful cocoa pod all the way to the roasting of the beans. I don’t know if you’ve ever seen a cocoa pod, but its so vibrant – it goes from green to orange to red to yellow – amazing!

I just loved the beauty, the colour and the shape of the pod, and really wanted to create something inspired by it, and our travels around Mexico. This shape features heavily throughout the new collection, and is on nearly every piece.

The Cocoa Pod collection will be available to buy from March 2016

Behind the scenes at our ISPCC shoot

Juvi had the absolute pleasure to design a necklace for the ISPCC, with all proceeds going towards the charity. Just before Christmas, we had a photo shoot with our chosen brand ambassador, the very beautiful (and very funny!) Louise Duffy. Everyone was so amazing on the day, and so fantastic to give up their time for this wonderful cause. You can have a little peek into the photo shoot below…
